Our Story

Falmouth Town AFC was founded in 1949 and has represented the town at Bickland Park ever since. Nicknamed “The Town” after the club, the club has grown into one of Cornwall's leading footballing institutions.

The club began life in the Cornwall Senior League (1950–51) before joining the South Western League, where it spent over half a century from 1951 to 2007. A move to the South West Peninsula League followed in 2007, before promotion into the Western League in 2023 and, most recently, the Southern League Division One South from 2024 — the highest level in the club's history.

Falmouth Town holds a special place in Cornish football history as the first club from Cornwall to reach the First Round of the FA Cup, achieving the feat in 1962–63 and repeating it in 1967–68 and 1969–70.
